Part of Clem Jones Promenade temporarily closed to enable bridge early works

On Tuesday 19 May and Wednesday 20 May 2020 early works including vegetation removal will occur at South Bank ahead of construction of the Neville Bonner Bridge.

What, when and where:

Construction activities and vegetation removal work will occur from 6.30am to 6.30pm Tuesday 19 May and Wednesday 20 May 2020 at South Bank in and near the Neville Bonner Bridge construction compound (in front of The Wheel).

Between 9.30am and 3.30pm on these days a short section of the Clem Jones Promenade will be closed to create a safety exclusion zone for the activities. A detour via The Arbour will be in place. See attached map for specific details.

Cyclist and pedestrian impacts:

Traffic controllers will be on-site to guide pedestrians and cyclists along the temporary detour. Cyclists will need to dismount and follow the detour route.
