Weekend off-ramp closures: Margaret Street
Works: Southbound Riverside Expressway Margaret Street off-ramp will be closed for motorists on Saturday 7th October between 6am and 4pm.
An exclusion zone is being made for works to remove the tower crane from Tower Three.
Works are for Saturday 7th October between 6am to 4pm. These works are required during daylight hours due to the high-risk nature of the task.
Southbound off-ramp onto Margaret Street will be closed while works are underway on Margaret Street. Gardens Point Road access onto Margaret Street will be available at all times during the works.
Changed traffic conditions:
Motorists accessing the CBD will need to use the Elizabeth Street southbound and northbound off-ramps. Follow the signage on the Riverside Expressway.
What to expect:
In addition to advance notice for motorists to use alternative routes, the following is also expected:
- Southbound lane closure and reduced speed limits on the approach to the road closure.
- Detour signage and traffic control to direct motorists through the city.
- Engine noise from cranes lifting material within the site.
- Intermittent noisy works, including hammering and rattle guns used on steel.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your ongoing patience.
