Temporary traffic changes on North Quay affecting motorcycle parking
From 20 January until 30 September 2019 a sewer line will be installed and connected at North Quay. One traffic lane (and partial merge lane) and the footpath will be closed during these works. Alternative motorcycle parking is available and two lanes will remain open.
From 8pm, Sunday 20 January 2019* until Monday 30 September 2019 essential services work will be undertaken to install an underground sewer main and connect it with the existing Queensland Urban Utilities services.
The connection point for the services and retrieval location for the tunnel boring machine will be on North Quay, between Tank and Ann Streets. This means the furthest right lane (and partial merge lane) and footpath, in the direction of travel (southward), will be temporarily closed for this short section. All normal traffic movements will be possible with two lanes remaining open.
Motorcycle parking on the river side footpath of North Quay will be closed during the work. Alternative motorcycle parking spaces (like for like number) have been allocated on William Street and Queens Wharf Rd. See attached map.
A full list of motorcycle parking locations is available on Council’s website https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/traffic-transport/parking-brisbane/parking-brisbane-cbd/inner-city-motorcycle-parking
*Work is planned to commence from this date pending approvals.
