On Sunday 14 March 2021 access to the CBD will be via Elizabeth St for southbound traffic on the Riverside Expressway.
When:
Works to relocate a tower crane within site will occur between 3.00am to 11.00am on Sunday 14 March 2021 (for one morning). Works will be rescheduled to the next available Sunday pending weather and site conditions.
Where:
The works within the Queen’s Wharf site require the Margaret Street off-ramp and one southbound lane on the Riverside Expressway to be closed while a crane relocation is underway. See attached map.
What to expect:
Margaret Street off-ramp will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the works. Detour signage including visible digital message signs will direct motorists to use the Elizabeth Street for access to the CBD. Traffic using the Riverside Expressway will not be affected.
What else to expect:
– One temporary lane closure for southbound traffic on the Riverside Expressway (access on the Riverside Expressway in both directions will be maintained at all times).
– One temporary lane closure for northbound traffic on the Margaret Street off-ramp. Access will be maintained at all times.
– Engine noise from diesel cranes within the site.
– Intermittent hammering and rattle guns on steel.
