When:

Between 9:30am and 2:00pm on Tuesday 15 June 2021, bridge contractor Fitzgerald will install the first deck module over the Clem Jones Promenade at South Bank.

Where:

The bridge deck module will be installed from the newly constructed South Bank bridge abutment (within the fenced site area) to the temporary support structure in the river.

The deck module will initially be floated up the river by barge and then lifted into position using the barge “Darwin’s” 600 tonne crane.

For safety reasons the Clem Jones Promenade in front of the site area will be closed while the overhead lift is occurring. See attached map for details of the closed area and temporary detour.

Ferry terminal access:

South Bank 1 and 2 ferry terminals are currently closed due to upgrading works, ferry passengers will need to make their way to South Bank ferry terminal 3 at the eastern end of the South Bank Parklands via the arbor walk.
