Health and safety

Destination Brisbane Consortium will always put first the health, safety and welfare of its employees, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and the general public.

We will do this by:

  • Complying with all relevant occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, contractors, subcontractors and visitors.
  • Ensuring regular consultation with our employees to make sure safety is a priority.
  • Taking appropriate actions to review and improve occupational health and safety performance.

Our approach is embraced by our people and driven by what our leaders say and do.

Our employees, contractors, subcontractors, the state government and other stakeholders are actively encouraged to learn from each other’s experiences and share best practice.

Managing principal contractors and subcontractors

Destination Brisbane Consortium will continue to work with reputable contractors held to account and acting in accordance with appropriate workplace health and safety management plans.

Safety statistic reporting and auditing measures will be used to ensure all principal contractors remain compliant during their contract.

Principal contractors will be responsible for ensuring systems are in place to monitor and review any subcontractors’ performance and compliance with health and safety obligations.
