Weekend crane installation requires temporary lane closures on Margaret Street under traffic control

On Saturday 14 September and Sunday 15 September 2019, a crane will be installed on the Queen’s Wharf site from Margaret Street. For safety reasons, this activity will be undertaken on the weekend to ensure the safety of workers and the community.

When:

On Saturday 14 September and Sunday 15 September 2019, tower crane installation will occur between 4.30am and 8.00pm.

Where:

The left-hand lane of Margaret Street between William Street and George Street, closest to the construction site, will be closed for safety reasons. All other lanes will remain open. See attached map.

What to expect:

The kerbside lane closest to site on Margaret St will be temporarily closed while the work is being undertaken. Traffic delays should be minor as south bound traffic merges coming off the Riverside Expressway. Traffic control will be in place.

As per a previous notice, some traffic delays may be experienced on George St for tower crane lifts of materials from the George St loading zone. We apologise for any inconvenience and will minimise delays where possible. Please follow traffic control instructions for your safety.
