On 19th August 2025, a permanent FOOTPATH CLOSURE on George Street for pedestrian traffic between Margaret Street and Alice Street will be in effect until approximately December 2029.
When:
Tuesday 19th August until 4 carparking bays will be removed and replaced by a no standing zone for motorist safety.

Where:
George Street between Margaret Street and Alice Street on the construction site side
What to expect:
Appropriate detour signage and Traffic Controllers will be in place during the construction works.
Pedestrian traffic on the opposite side of George St will be unaffected.
Access to the bus stop outside the Mansions will be unaffected.
4 car parking bays will be removed and replaced by a no standing zone for motorist safety.
