Site establishment at Queen’s Wharf Tower precinct

Delta is establishing their site in the area where the 253-metre residential Queen’s Wharf Tower and a smaller commercial tower will be built.

This area sits behind and beside the Mansions heritage building on George St, which will be secured and protected during all works. Initial works include realignment of the site hoarding, installing site modular buildings, and demolition of the old car park.

A small number of vehicles including passenger, semi-trailers, flatbed trucks and mobile cranes will be required to bring materials into and establish the site. All vehicle movements will enter and exit via William Street and will be under traffic control where required to ensure the safety of nearby pedestrians. There will be no haulage truck movements during peak hours.

Early works include:

–              Drilling, hammering, digging, truck loading and general construction activities and noise

–              Demolition of existing non-heritage structures including Visitor Centre

–              Removal and recycling of material

All works are undertaken with noise and dust mitigation strategies in place including pulverizers and ripping rather than hammering where possible, sprinklers and spray cannons, and dust monitoring.

Delta’s approved construction hours are Monday to Friday 06:30am to 06:30pm. For more information about these works please subscribe to our construction notices by clicking the stay informed button on the top right of our website.

Once complete, this precinct will transform and activate this area with residents, a new commercial offering, and public space.

Sadly, the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Visitor Centre will close in the coming months to enable works to continue in that location. Please come and visit the Centre while you can and learn about the benefits Queen’s Wharf will bring to Brisbane.

A final closure date for the Visitor Centre will be provided in the coming weeks.
