Road closed
Get ready Brisbane, early work on the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane integrated resort development begins in January 2017 and the first change you will notice is the part closure of William Street (from Stephens Lane to Margaret Street) and the closure of Queens Wharf Road.
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will become an iconic world class development that the residents of Brisbane can be proud to call their own, but it can’t be built without some changes occurring.
On 1 January 2017, part of William Street and Queens Wharf Road will close to normal traffic as these streets are transformed to haul routes for the trucks, cranes and dozers that will begin the demolition of the three non-heritage buildings in the precinct (the Executive Building, 80 George Street and Neville Bonner Building).
Detour signs have already been installed at key locations around the city, but for more information on traffic updates call 13 19 40 or visit www.131940.qld.gov.au. Anyone interested to understand the changes to bus services should contact TransLink on www.translink.com.au or phone 13 12 30.
