Lunar New Year – Queen’s Wharf Brisbane
Join us as we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with an unforgettable celebration. The event will celebrate culture through a lively program of fire, music, and entertainment.
There will be six hero shows each night, alongside food stalls, bars, and music, creating an energetic and welcoming atmosphere throughout the precinct.
Experience The Fire Horse Ignites, a powerful nightly hero show on the Leisure Deck. Each evening, a sonic fire ceremony builds toward the dramatic lighting of a five-metre tall steel horse sculpture, surrounded by glowing lanterns and soaring jets of flame.
A three-minute symphonic score blends orchestral power with Chinese and pan-Asian instruments, galloping rhythms, and celebratory drums. Lion Dancers, escorted by energetic drummers, move through the crowd as music and fire collide in spectacular crescendos. Subject to change, cancellation and wet weather.
