Introduce yourself to Queen’s Wharf Brisbane these holidays

After grabbing a coffee on the deck at Pulse café, pop inside the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Visitor Centre to see the impressive 3D model, watch our flythrough video and try on the virtual reality googles.

Destination Brisbane Consortium Project Director Simon Crooks said visitors especially enjoyed experiencing the interactive elements of the centre including the virtual reality headsets which show you what it would be like to walk on the Sky Deck, the Neville Bonner Bridge or along Queen’s Plaza.

In addition to the virtual reality headsets, there is a display cabinet to showcase the artefacts uncovered during excavation.

“The artefacts are a fascinating insight into life in Brisbane over 100 years ago as well as the numerous informative videos on display in our theatre room and interactive iPad app developed for visitors to learn about the development,” said Mr Crooks.

“The selfie booth is a hit as visitors can take a photo at what will be one of Brisbane’s best photo spots to share with friends and family on social media.

“Adults and kids alike can enjoy the interactive experience of all that Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will deliver in the comfort of our airconditioned state-of-the-art facility.”

Since reopening in September, the Queen’s Wharf Visitor Centre has welcomed many visitors through the door to find out about the precinct’s heritage, current construction, and the world-class destination it will become.

In addition to the walk-ins, several groups have already arranged personalised presentations including the Queensland Hospitality Association, Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, Queensland Tourism Industry Council and a number of local community clubs.

Why not, come in, say hello, and learn more about one of Brisbane’s most highly anticipated developments.

The Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Visitor Centre is located on the corner of George & Alice Street, Brisbane CBD. It is free to enter and is open from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Destination Brisbane Consortium welcomes families and children to visit over the school holidays, however the Visitor Centre will be closed for a short time over Christmas from Wednesday 23 December 2020 until Monday 11 January 2021.

Meanwhile, the Queen’s Wharf Residences display suite sitting above the Visitor Centre is open by appointment only – contact 1300 988 887 to make a booking.
