Discover Azteca: Queen’s Wharf’s Fusion of Latin and Asian Flavours

Azteca

Since opening its doors at The Star Brisbane, Azteca has quickly become a favourite among diners, praised for its vibrant fusion of Latin American flair and Asian-inspired elegance. The latest concept from Potentia Solutions Leisure, the team behind Lina Rooftop and Carmen Tequileria, Azteca on The Terrace brings a luxurious, immersive experience to Brisbane’s dining scene.

Stepping inside, guests are transported to a world where lush greenery, striking Aztec-inspired artwork, and unique water features combine to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. From semi-private pods surrounded by plush seating to custom brass tables, every detail in the 126-seater venue has been meticulously designed.

The experience is further elevated by a hidden private dining room for up to 14 guests, where handcrafted Aztec décor and custom Latin American ceramics create an exclusive, intimate escape.

At the helm of Azteca’s kitchen is Head Chef Zac Sykes, whose menu has been lauded for its creative, bold flavours. Popular dishes include the Elgin Valley free-range chicken with dark chocolate mole, the dry-aged Gooralie free-range pork chop with grilled pineapple and fermented jalapeño, and the S. Kidman F1 wagyu short rib, slow-cooked for 24 hours and paired with sake, mirin, soy, and fresh Asian greens. The restaurant’s cocktail menu has also earned high praise, featuring Latin American spirits expertly blended with Asian spices to create a fusion of flavours that perfectly complements the menu.

Azteca has fast established itself as one of Brisbane’s latest must-visit dining destinations. Open every Wednesday to Sunday from noon, the venue welcomes guests for lunch and dinner, offering a unique experience that goes beyond just a meal.

Azteca joins a steady stream of new restaurants openings on The Terrace (Level 4) including Black Hide Steak and Seafood by Gambaro and Lúc Lắc by the Ghanem Group.
