Queen’s Wharf

Destination Brisbane Consortium (DBC) is the owner of Queen’s Wharf Brisbane (QWB), a landmark integrated resort that brings together world-class hotels, food and beverage, gaming, retail, entertainment and vibrant public spaces. A precinct that places Brisbane, Queensland, on the map as a tourism, leisure and entertainment destination.

Queen’s Wharf Brisbane transforms the CBD and river’s edge with an iconic design that embraces Brisbane’s inviting subtropical climate and celebrates the precinct’s Indigenous and European heritage with interpretive trails and experiences spanning the Brisbane River and ridgeline. The Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct has transformed the area into a breathtaking and vibrant oasis for locals and visitors, blending beautifully repurposed heritage buildings with stunning contemporary architecture.

DBC has delivered this multi-billion-dollar development, which covers more than 12 hectares of CBD land. Following the commencement of operations in 2024, DBC transitioned from a development-focused organisation to an asset owner, with responsibility for overseeing integrated resort performance delivered by the external operator, protecting investor and stakeholder value, meeting regulatory, lender and joint venture obligations, and driving the long-term commercial sustainability of the precinct.

DBC is a privately-owned and operated joint venture between Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium.

Bringing Brisbane's
Heritage to Life

Beautiful heritage buildings and places will be restored and repurposed, providing unique experiences and creating stories and memories for future generations.

The historic Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct is the birthplace of European settlement nearly 200 years ago, and a home to Indigenous Australians for thousands of years.

It holds one of the greatest collections of culturally significant heritage buildings and places in Australia.

After decades of mystery, these neglected buildings and places will come alive through careful restoration work and repurposing.

Locals and visitors will be able to enjoy beautifully restored spaces in a variety of ways including cultural, retail, dining, hotel entertainment and tourist attraction spaces.

People, Environment & Heritage

The development is unique in nature given its significant size and scale; the precinct’s European heritage buildings; its CBD location; and close proximity to the Brisbane River.
