Queens Gardens (also known as Queens Park) is the Brisbane CBD’s foremost historic urban park. Designed as a high functioning urban space, the park’s strength lies in its flexibility to support multiple functions of varying sizes and configurations.
Established in 1905, Queens Gardens is situated at 144 George Street, in between the Treasury and Land Administration buildings.
Designed as a high-functioning urban area, Queens Gardens will continue to offer green space that will provide the public with an inner-city open place to visit and unwind. It will also have the flexibility to be activated for events, festivals and a range of other uses.
Positioned under Queens Gardens, Queen’s Walk will be a new pedestrian walkway through a retail area that will provide seamless flow between Elizabeth Street and the integrated resort.
