As one of the first entry points to the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct from the CBD, this building has an important role to play. It is proposed to host an Aboriginal and European heritage centre with tourist information and interactive exhibits, connecting local and visitors to Queen’s Wharf rich history and vibrant future.
Built in 1879, the Old State Library building is located at 159 William Street and currently houses the Brisbane offices of lead consortium partner, The Star Entertainment Group.
