On Monday 2 March Fitzgerald Constructions Australia will start early works at South Bank to enable the start of construction on the Neville Bonner Bridge.
When:
From Monday 2 March 2020, approved early works will begin at South Bank for construction of the Neville Bonner Bridge that will connect South Bank and the CBD at Queen’s Wharf Brisbane integrated resort development.
Where:
The works will be to establish the site boundary, install hoarding (site fencing) and site accommodation sheds on the Cultural Forecourt and adjacent greenspace in front of the Wheel of Brisbane (see attached map for details).
What to expect:
A small number of vehicles including flatbed trucks and forklifts will be required to bring materials into and establish the sites. All vehicle movements will be under traffic control to ensure the safety of nearby pedestrians.
It is expected to take a few weeks to establish the two sites.
Following site establishment, Fitzgerald and their sub-contractors will begin services location work and will use vacuum excavation to identify services ahead of relocation work. All work will be contained within the site (hoarded) area.
Fitzgerald’s approved construction hours are Monday to Friday 6.30am to 6.30pm. For moreinformation about these works please contact Fitzgerald or Destination Brisbane Consortium on the numbers below.
