Rescheduled: Night works on Margaret Street in-bound traffic take Elizabeth Street or Turbot Street off-ramps from the Riverside Expressway

For one night starting at 8pm on Tuesday 7 April 2020 until 5am the next day, work will be required on Margaret Street to install lighting on the workers’ pedestrian gantry for Queen’s Wharf.

When:

Night works are now scheduled for Tuesday 7 April 2020 between 8pm and 5am the following day, while lighting on the Margaret Street pedestrian gantry is installed.

All night works are subject to changes, and if circumstances require, they will be rescheduled to the next most suitable date.

Where:

Work will occur on the Margaret Street gantry, between William and George streets (see map over page). The gantry is used by construction workers for direct access between the construction site and worker site sheds.

Temporary traffic changes:

For in-bound city traffic, use Elizabeth St or Turbot St Riverside Expressway off-ramps. Margaret St off-ramp will only allow access onto William St (for 1WS).

What to expect:

Night works will include:

  • A temporary road closure of Margaret Street, between William and George streets
  • Movement of heavy vehicles and lifting of equipment
  • Reversing beepers and lighting.

Detour signage and traffic control will be in place to guide road users during the road closure.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your ongoing patience.
