From 19 July 2021 for four weeks, night works will be required for removal of non-heritage material from the Printery Building. Each night, a temporary loading bay will be established on George Street for material load-out.
When:
From Monday 19 July 2021 until late August, works will be required at night between 8pm and 6am Monday to Friday (pending weather and site conditions). A section of the George St will be required as a temporary loading area. Night works are required to minimise impacts to motorists and pedestrians during the day.
Where:
Material load-out will occur at the Printery Building located at 110 George St, adjacent to the Treasury Hotel. A temporary loading bay for material will be set up on George St. The footpath extending in front of the Printery Building will be closed to pedestrians. By 6am each day the road and footpath will be returned to normal.
What to expect:
Material load-out to occur at night with potentially noisy works such as demolition of non-heritage material occurring during the day.
At times, near neighbours may experience some noise from the material being loaded into trucks.
For motorists, there will be traffic control in place throughout the duration of works. Brief holds will be required when trucks are entering or exiting the loading area.
The footpath will also be restricted on the river side of George St nearest the Printery Building.
