Bicentennial Bikeway changes adjacent to Queen’s Wharf site

From Monday 3 June to Friday 14 June 2024, intermittent works will take place along the Bicentennial Bikeway. Bikeway users will be required to reduce speed and follow the direction of traffic control.

When:

From Monday 3 June to Friday 14 June 2024 between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm and then during the night shift from 7.00 pm and 4.00 am some temporary adjustments and changes in the alignment of the fencing, pavement line marking, and signage will take place along the  Bicentennial Bikeway.

Where:

From the City Cat terminal at North Quay to the start of The Landing, intermittent works will take place to realign fencing and complete line marking. (Please refer to map).

Traffic control will be in place and the work zones will be clearly marked  with fencing, directional and speed limit signage.  

Temporary Work Zones:

The works are required while rejuvenation works to transform the public space continue. Users will be temporarily redirected while fences are being realigned during the nominated work hours. There will also continue to be a mix of concrete and suspended structures along the bikeway diversion.

Please plan ahead, take care and ride to the conditions.

What to expect:

The temporary bikeway works will include the following:

  • Temporary works zones on the Bicentennial Bikeway for pedestrians and active transport users (refer to the map)
  • Reduced speed limit for cyclists and electric scooters in this area
  • Traffic control in place along the bikeway
  • Lighting, directional signage, mirrors and fencing as required along the bikeway.
