Timing couldn’t be better

This month Destination Brisbane Consortium put out the call for furniture and equipment tenders to fit out three hotels and resort facilities including a ballroom, event centre, gaming areas, restaurants and the spectacular Sky Deck.

The contract is worth tens of millions of dollars and will require more than 30,000 individual furnishings – enough inventory to fit-out the Brisbane W Hotel (considered one of the best in the city) five times.

The tender is for bespoke furniture and equipment including 1,600 beds, 4,100 dining chairs, 1,300 dining tables, 2,800 coffee and occasional tables.

Destination Brisbane Consortium Project Director Simon Crooks said, “At a time when this city, this country, needs investment and development to get the economy going again, we are on time and on budget with the most transformational project the Brisbane CBD has seen”.

“Going to tender for the furniture brings the reality of this development into even sharper focus and highlights how close we’re getting to that planned opening in late 2022,” he said.

“It’s an exciting milestone for the development, which will redefine the city skyline.”

Information regarding this tender opportunity is communicated on the ICN Gateway.

Product, service and equipment suppliers with the capability, capacity and track record to perform the stated scope of work and are interested in supplying to the project are encouraged to submit an expression of interest through the ICN Gateway.
