Riverview Terrace well under construction
As construction continues for the game-changing Queen’s Wharf Brisbane integrated resort, an incredible 60 tonnes of structural steel for the future Riverview Terrace was lifted above the southbound lanes of the Riverside Expressway this month.
Located on level four of the integrated resort where many sumptuous restaurants and shops will be located, the Riverview Terrace will provide exciting dining for guests as well as vital access to the pedestrian-only Neville Bonner Bridge linking the development to South Bank.
Destination Brisbane Consortium Project Director Simon Crooks said although the work required some temporary lane closures and inconvenience to motorists, it was a construction milestone the meant Queen’s Wharf Brisbane was being delivered on time and according to program.
“We have been planning for this work from the very beginning and it was exciting to see it happening. For the public we know seeing is believing,” Mr Crooks said.
“People are already noticing the changes as they drive along the Riverside Expressway, but this will be even more pronounced in the coming month as the bridge section for the Neville Bonner Bridge is lifted in to position mid-June.
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane integrated resort development including the 12 football fields of public space, pedestrian bridge, The Star Grand Hotel, gaming, restaurants and retail will open from late-2022.
