Mangrove Walk

The dedicated pedestrian boardwalk, opened in 2019, offers diversity and variation, extending beyond the mangroves and linking Goodwill Bridge to the precinct.

The existing mangroves along the Brisbane River are a feature for visitors to Queen’s Wharf Brisbane through the new Mangrove Walk.

The 450metre Mangrove Walk includes interpretative heritage and integrated story-telling elements that will also provide an alternative path from the Botanic Gardens to Queen’s Wharf Plaza and Queens Wharf Road.

It features:

  • An Indigenous message trail designed in collaboration with the Turrbal and Jagera Indigenous communities.
  • An exploratory trail with educational installations and interpretive signage.
  • A series of landings and lookouts with shaded seating nooks to enjoy the view.
  • An elevated pavilion with views along the Brisbane River

It provides a launching facility for small non-motorised crafts such as kayaks and canoes at the above river restaurant and bar – Will & Flow – https://queenswharfbrisbane.com.au/explore/will-flow-overwater-bar/
