Has any traffic modelling been done, and if so what does it show?

Robust modelling shows increased volumes of traffic will enter the CBD in the late afternoon and evening to visit Queen’s Wharf Brisbane. This will be counter-cyclical to the peak-hour outbound flow. However, with increased traffic flows, QWB has been specifically designed to ensure traffic can access the precinct from the edge of the CBD, as opposed to driving through the internal CBD grid and impacting the wider street network.

The entry point to the Integrated Resort Development car park is primarily from the Riverside Expressway and from the north end of William St. The design of the development will support changes to transport and road infrastructure, including new traffic lights and traffic lanes to cater for more traffic.
