Temporary pedestrian safety fencing installed on William St

From Monday 8 July 2019, temporary pedestrian safety fencing will be installed along William Street adjacent to Queens Park and the Old State Library.

When:

From Monday 8th July 2019, and during that week, temporary pedestrian safety fencing will be installed along William Street adjacent to Queens Park and outside the Old State Library building.

Where:

Fencing will be installed along the footpath of William St outside the Old State Library building between the top of Miller Park and the traffic lights at Elizabeth and William Streets, and along the footpath adjacent to Queens Park closest to Treasury Hotel.

Please see attached map for details.

Why:

With truck movements set to increase over the next 12 months along William St due to construction activity, this fencing will be installed to redirect foot traffic to the safety of traffic lights on the Elizabeth and William Street intersection.
