Mangrove Walk construction activities near QUT Ferry Terminal

From Thursday 7 February to Thursday 21 February 2019, Mangrove Walk construction works will be undertaken. Commuter and pedestrian access to the terminal will not be affected.

When:

From Thursday the 7 February to Thursday 21 February 2019, between 6.30am and 5pm Monday to Saturday.

Where:

Adjacent to the QUT Ferry Terminal, precast concrete girders will be installed for the Mangrove Walk. Please see attached map.

What to expect:

Access to the QUT Ferry Terminal will be maintained, with additional safety precautions in place during these works.

A crane barge will be used to lift large precast concrete girders into position along the Mangrove Walk, however when CityCats or ferries are in the vicinity of the terminal, all girder installation works will cease. Construction activities will resume once all pedestrians are clear of the area and it is safe to continue the installation activity.

Traffic controllers will be in place to ensure the safe movement of pedestrians during this time.

It is expected that construction noise from the crane barge may be heard up to 15m from this location during the works.
