Commissariat Store

The Commissariat Store is the oldest occupied building in Queensland and will stay open throughout the construction. It will remain the premises of The Royal Historical Society of Queensland, dedicated to promoting the state’s fascinating history.

An active program of events, an extensive library and museum collections, research services and a diverse range of exhibitions for the local community to enjoy are on offer at The Commissariat Store year-round.

Built in 1828, the building is located at 115 William Street and will undergo minor updates through the new development.
